Sarah's inspiration for Sarah Marie Studio is derived from her personal style. Lover of all things pink, chic, and feminine, Sarah wants the audience to get a taste of who she is. Taken hot off the runway, Sarah researched innovative brands that served pink looks this year. She found leading lines, boxy cuts, and delicate accents in Jacqemus' Fall 2020 Ready-to-Wear Collection and Spring 2020 Ready-to-Wear Collection (two top-most runway images and two bottom-most runway images). She also found similar styles with Off-White's Spring 2020 Ready-to-Wear Collection (two runway images in the middle, to the right). Sarah realized that this was more than just her personal taste, but a current and powerful trend in the market. With more exploration, Sarah learned that pink is saturated in the interior design and architecture industry, too.
The main focus of SM Studio is rooted in strong style and sweet design. Sarah often uses these two attributes to describe herself and can explain the exploration of sweet and strong images within her moodboard, specifically the brick wall versus the delicate frosting. Sarah's message is further carried throughout her logo design with feminine handwriting-style type in contrast with bold serif type. She uses sleek, geometric rectangles that are prominent yet graceful due to the soft pink chosen, playing on the concept of leading lines. Ultimately, Sarah hopes to communicate positive energy, encourage entrepreneurial endeavours, and spark inspiration by means of her personal work and style.
